Family Shield Guardianship Services, LLC.

What is a Professional Guardian?
A professional guardian is someone who has been appointed by a Florida court to manage the personal, financial, or medical affairs of a ward (the person under guardianship) when no qualified family member is available or willing to serve. These guardians often manage multiple cases at a time and are regulated by Florida law to ensure they act in the best interests of their wards.
Our Services
Guardian of the Person
The guardian advocates for the person’s health, safety, and well-being by coordinating medical care, consenting to treatment when authorized, and ensuring appropriate living arrangements and support services. All decisions must be made in the individual’s best interests, using the least restrictive alternatives, and under ongoing court supervision and reporting requirements.
Guardian of the Property
Manages and protects the financial assets and income of an individual who has been found incapacitated. The guardian pays bills, safeguards property, manages accounts, and ensures that funds are used solely for the person’s needs and benefit. All financial actions are subject to strict court oversight, including required accountings, reports, and compliance with Florida law.
